The owner of a recently purchased mid-rise office building in downtown London, Ontario wanted to restore the structural integrity of its 4-level underground parking structure and improve the aesthetic appearance of the garage in order to improve the value of the building.

The detailed condition assessment included core samples and laboratory testing.  The Owner was provided with various repair management strategies.  The Owner decided to proceed with localized concrete repair, replacement of all expansion joints and installation of a complete new waterproofing system. Lighting levels were also increased to improve tenants’ sense of safety within the garage.

Due to the close proximity of multi-family buildings in the area, the method of concrete removal used was hydro-demolition. The project was completed on budget and on time throughout the winter months.
