This project involved refreshing the look of the exterior of a high-rise commercial office building in downtown Toronto’s financial district.  The podium finishes were replaced right down to the structural slab, the perimeter cladding was replaced with new curtain wall and the existing dated canopies were replaced with new modern looking canopies.

The work on the podium deck involved rewaterproofing of the podium slab, construction of new concrete planter walls, installation of a new water feature within a stainless steel enclosure, new granite pavers and complete new landscaping.  The curtain wall replacement included the building envelope of a bank, which involved relocation of the bank machine, desks and cubicle walls in the bank, all without any disruption to the bank’s operation.

Grgas worked with the Owner to retain the various professionals for the project, selected and pre-purchased the granite which was shipped from Italy just in time to be used at the site and provided project management services from the start of the work to the final commissioning of the water feature equipment.
